Ans .Animals which only eat other animals, are called Carnivorous animals.
For examples-lion, hyena, snake etc.
Q2. Name the kind of teeth that help a cow to chew the grass.
Ans.  A cow has strong and broad back teeth to chew the grass.                             
Q3. Name three animals which gnaw their food.
Ans.  a) rabbit                                      b) squirrel                                    c) rat
Q4. Name the type of teeth that squirrels have. Name two more animals having the same type of teeth.
Ans.Squirrels have sharp front chisel teeth to bite hard and rough food grains and other things. Rabbits and rats have the same type of teeth.

Animals which eat plants or parts of a tree are called herbivorous animals.
Animals which eat both plants and animals are called omnivorous animals.
e.g. cow, goat etc.

Q2.How does a lizards take its food?
Ans.Lizard takes its food with the help of its sticky tongue.
Q3. Explain the term ‘chewing the cud’?
Ans. 1.  Animals, like cow, buffalo, and camels nibble their food first.
          2. When they relax, they bring back part of the food from inside into their                      mouth and chew it properly. This is called ‘chewing the food’.
Q4. Write any three ways that help us in taking care of domestic animals.
Ans.Three ways that help us in taking care of domestic animals are-----
1. The shelter of all these animals should be clean, dry and airy.                    2. Pet animals need to be protected from hot and cold weather.
3. Poultry birds, like hen and duck, should be fed with grains and water.
Q5. How do butterfly and mosquito have their food?

Ans.Butterfly and mosquito have a long hollow tube like structure which helps them to suck their food.
